And currently it is performing various activities based on its platform of supplying effective and efficient human resource which is capable to feed the industries of the nation with full confidence, capacity as well as productivity.
From time to time the marking system of COC is being progressive. It shows a good update through recognizing efficient and effective professionals through time. Currently, more attention has been given by the government of Ethiopia to TVET which is opening a wide avenue to investors in looking for employees to operate and handle their machines and their work systems with skill and competence. Thus, focusing on the sector still requires to do more and promote the unexploited source of industrialization beginning from small scale enterprises to high level industries.
Keeping the earnings from TVET in mind, boosting the students' capacity takes the maximum effort by facilitating things for them to get both the theoretical and practical knowledge with an uppermost virtuousness. Coordination of stakeholders and industries and their active participatory role, government's deep consideration as well as students' full intuitiveness are imperative to make the sector successful and contribute its share in the nation's economic advancement. Furthermore, he called for stakeholder's cooperation and joint work twards creating a credible and loyal Certificate Of Compliance COC examination and a transparent enrolling processes.
He also said that the general objective of the TVET agency is to create a competent, motivated, adaptable and innovative workforce as well as technology accumulation and transfer in promoting economic growth and development in Ethiopia, adding " This is possible through facilitating demand-driven, high quality technical and vocational education and training which is relevant to all sectors of the economy at all levels and to all people".
The industry sector highly requires COC qualified personnel to handle the work processes effectively. Some situations are known to be happening in the COC examination process which are challenging some students not to effectively pass the exam with confidence, he described.
The major bottlenecks to emerging successful in COC qualification include, among others, hindrance of enough practical machines, slack TVET - industry linkage, rent seeking attitude of some COC examiners as well as stakeholders' limited participation. According to the Public Relations Department Head of the Agency, currently the value of well equipped and technological assisted TVET centers tend to produce and grow a better qualified personnel that will have full capacity to effectively involve and become productive in the market, said adding "qualification is the full package of competency which enables workers to function in different sectors covering the overall work activities in line with the required criteria through undertaking the role properly.
This in turn hinders professionals not to contribute their utmost potential to their nation. And all stakeholders need to exert their cooperative effort to benefit the maximum out of it.
